Message from the family Espinar-Redondo after the stay of Ana Redondo, 60-year-old Acute Myeloid Leukaemia patient, in the flat near Hospital Germans Trias i Pujol, in Badalona. The Foundation found a compatible donor for Ana so that she could ungergo a bone marrow transplant.
Transcript of the message:
"Tuesday 13th and flat number 13. I am not superstitious. After reading all of the writing there is not much more I can say. I want to thank the José Carreras Foundation for everything they do for people with this problem and for lending us this house, as well as the doctors, nurses and the rest of the staff at Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital in Badalona, where they did the transplant to my wife Ana. I have no words to thank how kind everyone has been to us.
We only wish these illnesses, every day more, can be cured in the best way possible. Strength, courage and keep going. We leave, after 48 days, back to our home in Girona".
