Message from Josep Vendrell, a 66 year old Acute Myeloid Leukaemia patient, from Tarragona, who stayed in the flat near Sant Pau Hospital in Barcelona.
Transcript of the message:
"December 2011. My name is Josep Vendrell Rabaso, I'm from Tarragona and I'm 66 years old.
In April 2007 they detected a lymphoma and in October 2007 they did the bone marrow auto-transplant at Joan XXIII Hospital in Tarragona.
In January 2011, during my regular check-up, they detected acute myeloblastic leukaemia and in June they transplanted stem cells from my daughter.
Thanks to God, to the help from my family and to the José Carreras Foundation, we hope that they keep helping so much all of those who have this illness because what they do is priceless".
