02/09/2011The José Carreras Foundation presents its new awareness campaign: “Help us to make sure people are where they should be”
- The event was supported by the actors Mario Casas and María Castro, who accompanied José Carreras in his visit to leukaemia patients at Niño Jesus Children's University Hospital in Madrid.
- The event provided an opportunity to stress the importance of raising funds to continue the investment in scientific research projects.

01/26/2011José Carreras is honoured at the 2011 Crystal Awards for his dedication to the fight against leukaemia in the World Economic Forum of Davos.
At the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos (Switzerland), José Carreras received the 2011 Crystal Award for his work and commitment in the fight against leukaemia. He is dedicated to the fight, in the hope that one day the disease will be 100% curable. The World Economic Forum Crystal Award recognizes the efforts of artists who have "exploited" their art to improve relations between cultures or to realize a charitable act.
