11/30/2010The José Carreras Research Institute against Leukaemia is born, as a result of the collaboration between the Catalan government and the private José Carreras International Foundation.
The objective is make this Institute a leading centre on a global scale for biomedical research in the field of hematological malignancies, and especially leukaemia.
The Institute will have two campuses; one close to the Hospital Universitario Germans Trias i Pujol in Badalona and another campus in the Hospital Clínic in Barcelona.

The José Carreras Research Institute against Leukaemia, will be administered by a newly created Foundation of the Catalan Government and the Private José Carreras International Foundation.
