A symbol of hope
The color orange represents enthusiasm, happiness, attraction, creativity, determination, success, encouragement and drive. What many people do not know is that orange is also the colour of the fight against leukaemia.
For this reason, in 2011 the José Carreras Foundation against Leukaemia decided to unite with patients by creating a new symbol. The orange bowtie has been designed to demonstrate the strength of our fight against leukaemia and other haematological malignancies.
For us, the orange bowtie is the symbol that motivates us in our dream to reach the day when leukaemia will be a curable disease for all and in all cases.
Some of our supporters are now sporting the orange bowtie. THANK YOU!
