The donation of umbilical cord blood can save lives and it only requires a very simple process.
Not all maternity wards are presently prepared for the collection of umbilical cord blood units because it is a process that requires expertise and the necessary technical facilities. However, the number of maternity wards offering this service is growing all the time and in the future this type of donation will increasingly become more common.
