Àlvar Suñol's Graphic work
This portfolio of Original Print Works includes a work from the painter Àlvar Suñol. The work of Àlvar characterizes for using different shades of ochre and red and very personal human profiles. The symbolism in his art invites the observer to search for hidden icons which he uses to express his thoughts.
As in previous portfolios, the work is accompanied by a text signed by José Carreras.
Àlvar Suñol was born in 1935 in Montgat, a Catalan fishing village near Barcelona. He began painting oils at age twelve and when he was seventeen he was admitted in the Escuela Superior de Bellas Artes de San Jorge, a prestigious fine art school in Barcelona. From 2007 through 2009, his art has been exhibited in multiple museum exhibitions in America and Spain.
