Ángel is 23 years old and is from Huarte (Navarra).  Just over a year ago he was diagnosed with leukaemia and had to travel Barcelona to receive treatment in the Clinic Hospital.  The Foundation found him a compatible umbilical cord blood unit which enabled him to have a successful transplant.  During the treatment, he stayed with his family in one of the welfare flats of the Foundation.

Now Ángel is fine and has returned to his studies and work.

Firstly, I would like to send everyone a huge hug from me and all my family.  We think of you a lot and we always think positive things because I owe you so much.  I dont know what would have happened if it wasnt for you.  We are eternally grateful to you, for all you help and for everything you have given me.  You have made it easy for me.  The truth is that I am very well, physically and emotionally.   I am ready to enjoy life to max again.

I am happier now than I was bevore i was ill.  I value things in a greater detail and notice things that I never did before.  I don't worry about silly things that seemed like major problems before.  Everything I have earned I have done because of you.  I want you to know just how important you are and to say thank you for the amazing work that you do for society.  Thank you for everything."
