David, Acute Myeloblastic Leukaemia patient

Patient David

Last year on the 26th of October David was reborn: having been in a coma, he woke up! David is 35 years old and is fighting against Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. In October he underwent his first chemotherapy but a serious complication sent him into a coma. Now he has woken up, he is determined to get over the disease. His mother accompanies him daily in the hospital and provides him with support and energy.

David has two children, a 12 year old daughter and a 6 year old son. They know that their father is in the hospital "because he is recovering from a virus".

What is the plan for David? He knows clearly: "I want to start again", he explained. David has a twin brother but he is not 100% compatible. With this in mind the Foundation has initiated a search for a voluntary bone marrow donor that is of no relation.
