The Asturian actress has been well known for many years among the younger generation for her work in a variety of TV series such as Al salir de clase, Compañeros, 7 vidas and El comisari. In 2009, she was delighted to participate with José Carreras in an event to raise awareness of the Foundation and a visit to a children's ward in the Gregorio Marañon Hospital. Paula, who is the mother of a daughter called Daniela, identified very much with Cristina. The ex-patient of leukaemia is a similar age to Paula and is trying to have children after undergoing a donated bone marrow transplant.
