The Government of Catalonia has approved the incorporation of the scientific activity and the heritage of the Institute of Predictive and Personalized Medicine of Cancer (IMPPC)to the Germans Trias i Pujol Health Sciences Research Institute (IGTP) and to the Josep Carreras Leukaemia Research Institute (IJC).

This operation is framed in the Agreement of the Government of 2nd August 2011 about measures of rationalization and simplification of the public sector that urges to analyze the research centers and to submit a plan of reorganization of all the centers linked with the objective of increasing their excellence.

It provides a mayor scientific and economic strength of the scientific projects of all these institutions in order to achieve a referral frame in the scientific world in the solid and liquid tumors that will help to extend the revitalizing capacity of the Campus.
